FALL IN LOVE WITH…

Inspired by Valentine’s Day, this February on Balance + Glo we are inviting you to fall in love with… post-natal training, cardio health and Kapalabhati pranayama. You can expect articles on self-love + Anahata (heart) chakra inspired recipes, including a 3-course menu for your date or Pal-entines evening. To encourage you to continue to get our nature fix even through these colder months we are sharing our #naturedate pics with the community.

Fall in love with… self-love yoga flows & heart health cardio workouts. These classes from your instructor favourites Jenny & Hannah will be 20-30 minutes in length, perfect for you to slot into a busy day. We’re encouraging your to feel into your heart centre and let it lead you actions, interactions, and self-worth.

Want to get started?

Why not try this Heart Chakra Flow with Jenny, Endorphin Boost Workout with Hannah or Air Element Flow with Liv.

This month, new mum + co-founder Evelyn will be sharing her 5-part post-natal progressive strength series to add to the growing Bump + Beyond Section. Evelyn knows that finding the time to move post-baby can be a challenge, but she also understands the importance of gradually building back your strength, and that’s why each video in this series is only 10-15 minutes in length.

Starting with gentle body weight exercises before slowly adding in light weights, when you feel ready, Evelyn will help you to regain your confidence with movement and strength.

This February fall in love with our new recipes. Evelyn has created three recipes, equally delicious as stand alone dishes, or bring them together for an indulgent 3-course feast to enjoy with friends (this ‘Pal-entines’) or a loved one. Evelyn will also be sharing a simple ‘Goji Heart Cookies’ recipe that you can package up and share the love this month.

Plus, we will be sharing how to nourish your Heart Chakra with our recipe recommendations from the Balanced Life Blog. The Anahata (Heart) Chakra’s associated colour is green.

Pranayama (breath work) is one of the 8 limbs of yoga and an amazing tool to reduce stress, increase focus and energise you. Yoga teacher, Olivia Hazlitt, will be sharing her favourite technique “Kapalabhati Pranayama”. This stimulating pranayama technique is great for the morning. Search “breathwork” on the On Demand Library for more classes.

Every month we share well-being articles with our members written by our team of experts. On the exclusive blog this month you expect:

  • Journaling for Self Love

  • How to balance your heart (anahata) chakra

  • Healthy heart: benefits of cardio training

#naturedate

We’ve been loving your #winterwalks pics and this month we are encouraging you to take yourself on a #naturedate. The calming effect of nature leads to lower blood pressure and reduction of stress hormones. This study by the International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health called it the “harmonising nature of nature” on “physiological stress reactions”.

Can you sneak in more time in nature into your day? Here are some ideas:

  • A 15 minute morning walk before you start your day

  • Join a local walking/running group

  • Instead of meeting a friend for a coffee inside get a takeaway and walk together

  • Gardening
