This March, we are encouraging you to refresh your routine. You can expect brand new barre classes, Strengthen + Flo, refreshing brunch recipes + tips to de-clutter and re-use. Get ahead of the spring clean in all area of your well-being with the help of Balance + Glo!

NEW BARRE CLASSES

There’s a NEW discipline to the On Demand library with the addition of Barre workouts with the fantastic Naomi Butterworth.

Barre includes small, targeted movements in high numbers of repetitions to establish good mind-body connection and feel the signature burn. In the majority of classes, you use a “barre” or equivalent (tables, chair back etc).

From her professional dance background Naomi’s classes have a deep connection to Classical Ballet and she loves to bring out your inner ballerina.

The Beginner to Barre series takes you through six short classes to learn technique, feel the burn, and have fun doing it.


A note from Naomi,

These will be great for anyone who has participated in ballet classes as a child and would love to dust off their ballet shoes and regain some strength and enjoy moving using classical movements to mobilise the body. Also, for those who have never experienced a ballet or barre class. I will breakdown and explain each position before we use it, with the focus being on alignment and posture.

If you have some experience of barre do join in too as often we can fall into bad habits and I hope something I share here will help you find more ease of movement or just be of interest in learning more about the ballet barre technique!

If at any point you feel sharp pain then ease off, a burning sensation in the muscles is common and celebrated as it means we are within our challenge zone and where the body can really change and build the mind body connection that is vital for longevity of movement.

NAOMI BUTTERWORTH

Naomi is an ex professional dancer turned barre instructor. As a trained massage therapist, Naomi is passionate about posture. Through her barre classes she aims to help people build an awareness of their body & how it moves & aligns happily, whilst also finding joy & the benefit of movement by sharing her love of classical ballet technique.


STRENGTHEN + FLO

COMING 13TH MARCH

Our popular Strengthen + Flo classes are making a come-back too. The unique blend of yoga + strength training will hit your screens with new classes with Evelyn and Olivia. This March, you can expect three new Strengthen + Flo classes; Upper Body, Lower Body + Core. These 30 minute sessions are great when you want a balanced workout but are short on time.


To REFRESH your recipes this month we’re all things brunch. It’s no secret that we are huge brunch fans here at Balance + Glo. Co-founder Evelyn will be bringing you sweet, savoury, and quick brunch recipes to invigorate your taste buds.

A big part of the R E F R E S H this month is to de-clutter. We’re encouraging you to get ahead of the spring clean, re-sell clothes that no longer fit or bring joy, and find calm within the organisation. The re-selling market for fashion has boomed recently making it easier than ever to shop second hand – we’ll be sharing our favourite sites and apps for your summer weddings, new babies, and homeware alike!
