TASTY TOAST

I’m not sure I can really call this a recipe as it really is super simple! Instead I hope that it inspires you to take your toast to a new level, that both increases its taste level and nutritional value. 

Here are my top tips for creating the ultimate tasty toast: 

  • Start off with a good quality slice of wholemeal seeded bread. Wholemeal bread contains more nutrients and takes longer to digest than white bread. As its digested at a slower rate, it provides more energy, for longer! 

  • Place a small handful of almond flakes into a dry pan and lightly toast (they should be slightly golden and not burnt)

  • Top with thin slices of banana, fresh blueberries, a sprinkling of chia seeds and your toasted flakes.
