MIGHTY MATCHA
Matcha Latte
If you want to give coffee a kiss goodbye but still need an energy hit, Louise Murray (our in house health coach) suggesting giving a Matcha Latte a try. But why should you ditch the coffee or reduce your consumption? Louise explains how coffee can affect your mood by increasing anxiety, stress and negative thoughts and can decrease your happiness and deplete your mood.
Here’s how:
Interferes with GABA, nature’s Valium, which promotes feelings of calm and happiness
Causes hormone imbalances - adrenaline spikes, then crashes and causes cortisol to spike – your stress hormone which creates feelings of anxiety, negative thoughts and can also be a mood hoover
Matcha doesn’t have the negative side-effects of coffee but does boost your energy and concentration PLUS you also get mighty matcha benefits….
Immune supporting antioxidants and phytonutrients… matcha has up to 137 times the antioxidants of green tea!
Contains a unique amino acid called L-theanine which helps induce relaxation and may help fight stress signals.
We’ve feel super lucky that Louise has exclusively shared her Matcha Latte recipe below. Why don’t you give it a go and let us know how you get on.
