Zingy Ginger Shots

Last Sunday, Katie taught yoga on the beach — but she didn’t stop there. She’d made fresh ginger shots at home to bring along for everyone to enjoy after class. The feedback from those on the beach was so positive, with lots of requests for the recipe!

We’re super excited that Katie joined the team at the beginning of the month. Firstly, because she’s an awesome teacher, but secondly — and very importantly — she’s a foodie like us!

So, after hearing such great feedback (and all those recipe requests!), we asked Katie to share the recipe so you can make her fresh, fiery ginger shots at home too.

Members, you can expect plenty more recipe inspiration coming your way from Katie and the rest of the team. But we also want to hear from you: what recipes would you like to see landing in your inbox?

This recipe is super simple and quick to make — fresh, fiery and delicious! See below for all the details.

Ginger Shots

Serves: 4 shots

Time to create: 10 minutes

Ingredients

  • 60g fresh ginger — add a little more if you like them extra zingy!

  • 330ml Innocent apple juice

  • ½ lemon

Method

  1. Chop the ginger into small chunks, removing the skin.

  2. Add the ginger to a blender along with the apple juice and the juice of half a lemon.

  3. Blitz until smooth and slightly frothy on top.

  4. Place a sieve over a jug and pour the mixture through, allowing the juice to drain.

  5. Use the back of a spoon to press the remaining pulp and extract as much juice as possible.

  6. Pour into small glasses and enjoy!

Best served on the beach, but they’ll keep chilled for up to four days.
