Research has proven the positive benefits of using power poses to enhance inner strength and confidence. A power pose is a body posture or position that creates a more assertive, powerful stance. These poses are often characterised by strong, extended, and open body movements. This month our yoga teachers will be inspiring you to ignite your inner strength through an array of power poses (including half-moon pose, goddess pose, mountain pose).

Exclusive workshop: We will call upon this strength and confidence for this month’s exclusive yoga workshop, ‘Power-Up and Lift-off Arm Balances’ (15th May between 9.30am and 10.45am). This is an opportunity to be playful, curious and develop your practice.

We want to start this month by implementing the learning from April’s Revive Your Morning Challenge, supporting you to develop a morning routine that works for you! This could just be one new habit to adopt that would give you time in the morning to wake your body up and prepare yourself to have the best day ahead.

We recognise that we cannot Power-Up without giving our bodies the chance to Power-Down. This can be difficult - often we can get overwhelmed with to-do lists, focusing on the next thing to tick-off and as a result constantly feeling like we are underachieving or behind. We want you to stop, and find Power in the Pause with Louise Murray. It is time that we stop normalising productivity as success. Your success is not about how much you accomplish in day - but how much you honour and respect what your body and mind need.

This month we will also be placing extra emphasis on Mental Health to align with Mental Health Awareness Week (10th and 16th May). This year the theme is ‘Nature’ - acknowledging that access to nature is crucial for our mental health. Expect tips for embracing the great outdoors, why it's good for us, and how to make the most of its benefits.

New on the on-demand library:

  • A Power Pause Wellbeing Series with Lou where she will share how to find Power in the Pause through 3 different techniques:

    • The Cup of Calm - showing you how to bring a little mindfulness to the simple act of drinking tea

    • The 3 Stress Spots - showing you how to release stress through the brow, jaw and shoulders

    • The Body Awareness Tool - how to come out of your mind and into your body using mini movements.

  • I’am strong morning guided audio meditation with Jenny to set you up for your day.
