What is The Balance Method:

This January we want you to make a commitment to your wellness! We want you to make 3 commitments across our 3 pillars: MOVE, NOURISH AND CARE. Each goal needs to challenge you, whilst still being realistic. We want this to be about LONG-TERM change - therefore it is better to take small steps on the journey, rather than failing by taking big leaps!!!

Check out the 3 Pillars below and the TOOL KIT we are providing you with this Month to support you on your way.

The Online Studio provides live and on-demand classes across the following disciplines: Yoga, Pilates, HIIT and Strength Training. This month we have specially curated a diverse calendar of classes so you can find a balance that works for you. For example if you are a yogi at heart reap the benefits of resistance training and add strength to your practice, or if you are all about the HIIT incorporate yoga into your weekly schedule to achieve balance and flexibility.

Check the Members Area each Monday to find info on Live classes each week.

Commitment to Move:

  • We want your commitment to encompass a range of disciplines (e.g. 1 Yoga, 1 Pilates, 1 Fitness session per week - note movement sessions outside the Online Studio can also be counted, e.g. going for a walk, run or cycle).

  • Start by diarising these sessions - assign a date and time for each session (throughout January we will be providing you with our top tips for staying accountable)

  • Head to The ON DEMAND video library to choose classes that work for you

  • Use our MOVE calendar below to help you plan your week.

The Online Studio provides recipes to nourish your body via our Balanced Life Blog - throughout January we will be providing you with lots of inspiration for adding diversity to your plate, how to plan your meals and our top tips for food preparation.

We are also excited to announce that we have invited Health Coach and Mindfulness Teacher, Louise Murray to host an Intuitive Eating workshop (this is focused on listening to what your body really needs) with live Q&A. Louise will also be sharing weekly nutritional challenges, focused on healthy ways to to top up your nutritional value to support a healthy body and mind.

We do not believe in diets!!! But we do want to support YOU to feel good and confident about what you are eating. This month we want you to get creative with us in the kitchen!

Commitment to Nourish:

  • Start by acknowledging any areas where you struggle to retain a balanced healthy diet.

  • Note any changes that you want to make

  • Try Louise’s nutritional challenges - we will be sharing these with you weekly

  • Come to Lou’s Intuitive Eating Workshop

  • Diversify your meals by trying recipes from the Balanced Life Blog

The Online Studio provides tools and guidance to encourage you to build self-care practices into your everyday routine, helping to keep you healthy, happy, and more in tune with your mind and body. We want you to be kind to YOU. Since self-care is an individual practice, we are not going to prescribe how or when you do it. Instead we want you to take time every week to do something for you (this could be taking time daily, weekly, bi-weekly- what ever feels best for you). We will be providing you with self-care practices to try over the month of January, as well as sharing self-care workshops on the on-demand library.

Commitment to Care:

  • Take time to reflect on your weekly routine - how balanced do you feel? - are there any areas causing more stress than others, are you feeling pulled in opposite directions, are you taking time to be still, do you make time for you?

  • Note any changes that you want to make

  • Try our self care practices

  • Head to The On Demand Library to try a meditation or yoga nidra
