TWO-TONED SUMMER SMOOTHIE
With a raspberry and mango layer, this two-toned smoothie is as pretty as it tastes, and is the perfect way to cool off this summer. It’s also a great way to keep the kids hydrated and increase their fruit intake during the holidays.
It’s also super versatile - you can sub in the raspberries and mango for your favourite summer fruits.
Just make sure you’re careful when adding the second layer to ensure a nice even line.
Ingredients
Raspberry Smoothie Layer
150g frozen raspberries
2 tbsp greek yogurt
1/2 frozen banana
150ml almond milk
1 tsp honey
Mango Smoothie Layer
150g frozen mango
1/2 frozen banana
200ml almond milk
Method
Start with the raspberry layer. Simply pop all the ingredients in a blender and blitz until smooth.
Decant the mixture between two glasses.
Rinse out the blender before adding the mango layer ingredients. Blitz until smooth.
Gently decant the mixture between the two glasses with a spoon. Being careful around the outside edges so that you get smooth layers.
Top tip: Garnish with pineapple leaves and fresh sprigs of mint
