JANUARY 2022: TOGETHER WITH BALANCE + GLO

Never has it been a better time to move, nourish and breathe as a community. This month the Balance + Glo team are taking the darker, colder months of mid winter and flipping it on its head to bring warmth, love and joy into your lives. Encourage your friends to join and take advantage of our EXTENDED FREE 30 DAY Trial - that’s right, a whole month of self care for FREE.

Alongside an awesome month of LIVE virtual classes, set your intentions for the new year with Jenny, refresh your yoga practise with Liv and join NEW team member Ross, our Strength + Conditioning coach, for training sessions you can stack.

Want to push yourself? Don’t miss our ‘MOVE TOGETHER’ challenge this month - setting you up for good habits for the year ahead, feel inspired and motivated to get moving (plus work up a little sweat) and join the team for our first Sunday Collective Virtual Retreat.

Nourish your body with warming, mood boosting recipes from the team, discover our favourite self care books and podcasts and learn new ways to support you on your own wellbeing journey into 2022.

As we enter a new year join the the Balance + Glo team as we Move Together into 2022.  We are here to get you feeling motivated, inspired and supported into setting good habits from the get go. With 6 LIVE Classes a week, this month we want to encourage you to join us from home and come and move with the Balance + Glo community.

Move Together Challenge

Join in with our ‘Move Together’ challenge this month:

We’ve selected our top 12 classes to do this January - it’s a mix of LIVE classes for community support (if you can’t make a class, these go on the on demand library too!) and short on demand sessions to help you to get back into routine after the festive period - share it with your friends and lets all #movetogether

We challenge you to complete 3 classes per week for the month of January. Join us over on Instagram where we’ll be sharing accountability calendars and tag us in your efforts.

New Instructor

We start 2022 by welcoming Strength + Conditioning coach Ross onto The Online Studio. Ross is a Level 3 Personal Trainer, has a degree in Sports Science from Durham University and is a former GB U21 Hockey player.

Members can join Ross LIVE every Friday morning at 7:30am for all of January. PLUS, Ross has filmed a 6-part Strength & Conditioning Series on The Online Studio.

We chatted to Ross about his top tips for working out home, including equipment recommendations, Strength training for runners and why home workouts work.

Virtual Events

Introducing “The Sunday Collective” by Balance + Glo.

As well as incorporating daily moment, we can also use food to improve our emotional outlook. That’s why this month Evelyn will be sharing recipes to give you a much-needed boost through the winter months.

Expect recipes incorporating:

  • Dark leafy greens (loaded with magnesium which can help reduce anxiety),

  • Beans and lentils (high in protein, fibre and Vitamin B all of which can lift our mood),

  • Bananas (high in Vitamin B6 for a dopamine hit)

  • Dark chocolate (to help us relax - yes chocolate in moderation is good for you!).

January is a notoriously tricky month for Mental Health. We are focused on bringing our members all the tools to combat this and welcome in joy and balance in the start of the year.

It feels good to feel good! Our team of wellness experts share their tips to support your self care this month. We share our favourite self care reads, podcasts, and encourage you to share a cuppa with a friend (in person or via video call!) to bring a sense of calm to your day.

Amongst all the movement, find time to focus on your breath this month and breathe your way through the January blues with Jenny’s 4 part breath work series. The breath has a direct impact on our central nervous system and is an amazing tool to harness.
