PEANUT POWER BALLS

This is one of our most popular recipes (often featuring at our events and retreats); the exact recipe has been closely guarded for a number of years.

The peanut butter provides a good source of protein along with the chia seeds, whilst the oats provide slow release carbohydrates helping you keep going for longer. Not a breakfast fan? - these little balls are the snack for you. Suffer from that mid morning/afternoon slum? - these make a great on the go energy boosting snack.

Time to create: 20 minutes

Servings: Creates 10-12 balls

Dietary info: Vegan, if Gluten Free use Gluten Free Oats, Not suitable for those with Peanut Allergies

Recipe

Ingredients

  • 200g dates

  • 50g oats

  • 50g peanut butter

  • 15g chia seeds

  • 25g raisins

  • 1 tbsp cacao powder

Method

  1. Simply pop into a high speed blender and blitz for at least 2 minutes, until everything has mixed together. You should be able to pinch the mixture between two fingers and for it to hold together.

  2. Roll into approximately 10-12 balls. Store in the fridge for up to 1 week or in the freezer for up to 3 months.

Top tips: Drizzle with melted dark chocolate and your sprinkle on your favourite toppings (e.g. cacao nibs, freeze dried strawberry pieces, dark chocolate pieces). If you freeze the balls, simply take 1 ball out 30 minutes before you plan on consuming.
