SUMMER SERIES - JUNE

This summer the Balance + Glo team of wellness experts bring you ‘The Summer Series’. Over the summer we want to guide our members with classes, wellness tips and nutrition to inspire, motivate and support your awesome summer activities!

With everyone making the most of the weather, the chance to gather with friends once more and more time outside we aim to bring our members a whole host of exciting events, programmes and wellness guides to see you through. Think a schedule of LIVE virtual classes you can do anywhere (hello yoga in the sunshine!), amazing on-demand virtual sessions to support all your summer activities like paddle boarding and running, in person outdoor yoga and beach fitness sessions plus some awesome member exclusive events.

The series will cross our 3 wellness pillars MOVE, NOURISH + CARE. Take a look below to find out more about what we have planned for June!

Throughout the Summer we will be encouraging our members to take their mat outside and make the most of as much vitamin D as possible. With 4 live classes a week covering yoga, bodyweight fitness and strength.

PLUS members will also have the opportunity to join our exclusive ‘Arm Balance + Inversion’ Workshop with Olivia (12th June, 9.30am - 10.45am). This is an opportunity to progress your arm balances and try out inversions.

During the Summer Series, the focus of the on-demand library will be to support you on all your adventures and activities this season. This June we will bringing our members our Make a Splash’ on-demand series. This series is designed to support you in building strength and stability to prepare you for venturing back out onto the water, whether that be for surfing, wild swimming or paddle boarding. With a focus on upper body strengthening and core, this series will include yoga, fitness, strength and pilates. Connect mind and body so you can stay injury free, aligned and balanced.

This month we are going to be sharing our favourite recipes to fuel your adventures. We want to show that with just a little bit of prep you can keep going for longer, recover quicker and enjoy delicious snacks and meals on the go! Avoid disappointing over-priced and often not-so-healthy takeaways, and instead prep one of our dishes that you will really look forward too! From homemade trail mixes, pocket sized snacks, to lunches that won’t go soggy, we’ve got you covered this summer! PLUS we will also be sharing guest recipes from some of our favourite chefs and restaurants based on the island.

Over the next few months we want to place emphasis on the importance of self-care in the summer, particularly as restrictions are easing and we might be feeling pressured to socialise and say yes to everything! This month we are inviting you to slow down and carve out a little “me time.”

Key to this, will be taking part in Jenny’s Mindful Morning Series on the On-demand Library. Did you know that just 10 mindful minutes a day can improve your sleep, soothe anxious thoughts, and ease burnout. This new series will work as guide to meditation, so that you can find a practice that works for you.
